Unity Stamp - Splatters ;)

Oh how I love these cute cute Itty Bitty stamp sets from Unity Stamp
They are now back in stock - just arrived today!! Yay! I made this card for my brother in law who recently turned 46. The Time & Season No set is perfect for pairing numbers for birthdays and also years for journaling on layouts.  I used the dot from the Splatters & Stars set to create the background - using this ink (my favourite on kraft!)

Speaking of birthday!  Have you seen in the sidebar? -  there is an exciting blog hop on April 1st to celebrate a birthday - hint - it involves a little famous froggie! :-)

Take Three - Fly Away Newsprint (3)

Today's card is resist embossed - It's been a while since I've used that technique. This stamp is perfect for that - I just love the moment when the distress ink is being applied and the patttern reveals itself ;))

I've used walnut stain (my fave brown) and the victorian velvet - I think those colors go well together!

The round piece is punched out of watercolor paper and stamped with a very cute stamp I just discovered to fit inside a 2" circle!  This stamp is from the Amour set!

That's all for today ! I hope you are having a great day! I will be packing tonight for the scrapbooking event  - so see you again next week!

Take Three - Fly Away Newsprint (2)

Hey,

Already wednesday - time is flying and so is this cute airship ;)  On this 2nd card I stamped the entire background on some Bazzill Cream cardstock and then randomly stamped the compas (?) from the Past Times set using the Midtone Cup O' Joe and the Splash Chalk ink. In this way this newsprint background changes character....

The stamped frame is from the Sending you Love set and I used some cream twine to tie around the ends..  The entire piece was mounted on some Pool Layering paper (LOVE that color!)

Thank you so much for stopping by! I will be back on thursday with my 3rd and last card! And then I will be taking a break - preparing for this event!! See some of you there - I hope!!
