Easter Bunny projects with coffee filters :o)

I remembered seeing a project with coffee filters (maybe on Pinterest) so I decided to do some quick Easter Bunny Projects - just using simple coffee filters (the unbleached kind). This is so easy - stamped the Easter Bunny from Tim Holtz in the center and cut off the sides.

Then I stitched the sides using my sewing machine and embellished the bottom with some ribbon (also stitched). Easy peasy!   I made a bunch of these ....

Cute for the Easter Table Settings!

And that coffee filter - just stamped on the coffee filter,  (no cutting) can also be used as wrapping for an Easter hostess gift - here I just used it for the cats' grass :)

Did you know that you could use your stamps on the chalkboard, too? I just stamped the bunny using memento white ink (it comes right off using a wet cloth) ! I just love when I can get more from my stamps that way!  :-)

Have a great Easter! / God Påske!

Bon Voyage - USA

This is a card I made for a sweet girl close to our hearts - she is going to the USA end of this week and we wanted to wish her a Bon Voyage and give her some pocket money for the trip.

The Tim Holtz stamps are just perfect for the occassion and I love the blueprint sketchy look of those stamps! I used some Hero arts shadow inks to ink up the two All American colors (red royal and navy).

The inside of the card had to hold some dollars and I used the MFT gift card die for that - I stamped the star from the same Tim Holtz set twice (on the background and on the pocket) and ligned it up.

I like the look of those dollar bills tucked inside the pocket ;))

Because of the bulky card,  I decided to wrap some delicious ribbon around the card. I actually bought that ribbon in the USA (Cape Cod) a few years back - so that was very fitting, don't you think?

Now I hope she will have a wonderful trip - I know she will! USA is a great country to visit and the Americans really know how to make any guest coming to their country, feel welcome!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week!

Great day off

Yesterday I had a great day off spent in the lovely company of my sister and a visit from a crafty friend also.

Eventhough it is hard to see the Spring on its way we did spent a lovely time inside the greenhouse enjoying a bit of sunshine. It is amazing how the temperature rises behind the glass.
Here is pic of the greenhouse (photos from March, 2013) and the tomato plants on their way.
Now I just want the frosty nights to be gone with! ;)

We planned to make cards yesterday - but we managed to make only one each ;) I had an older stamp set from Pink Paislee that I wanted to try out  (I was sorry to find out that the quality of the stamp was so low, I nearly tossed it ) Anyway, here is the card.

And finally a shot of yesterday's lunch. Mixed salads with filo pasty packets of goats cheese, thyme & mushrooms. Yummy! And that wine from Bott Geyl - Jan was in Alsace with a friend yesterday, bringing more ! Yay!

Have a great weekend!

Two cards from a crop

Now that I have closed down my webshop I have the privilege to join crops here in Denmark - on the other side of the counter ;)  I found out that it does require some self discipline to actually create something (!) so I made only a few cards - and very quick ones, too.

This first one was a challenge by one of the shops to use a text stamp (recieved as a gift from the shop) - I don't use Danish text stamps normally ;) The background was created using yummy hero arts Shadow inks and one butterfly stamp from the WaterColor Petals set.

I used some matching washi tape and some MS twine to embellish the banner :-)

This next one is made based on a sketch from the crop (I really struggled with the sketch as I didn't really liked it, so it was a challenge). Using an IO stamp for the background and again that lovely butterfly stamp from Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day/evening!
