You!

Stars are really my favorite and I've had those  Studio Calico wood veneer stars for ages and as I was  packing for the scrap club last week, I found them ! I started on this card that evening & finished it today! ;)

Love that wood stamp which is from the WPlus9 dockside backgrounds. The tiny star background is this one from Hero Arts.

Supplies:
Stamps: Dockside Backgrounds, Wplus9, Tiny Stars Background Hero Arts, Sundrifter Love this Hero Arts.
Inks: Hero Arts shadow inks (navy, cup o joe, wet cement)
Other: Wood veener stars Studio Calico, Lawn Fawn Twine, tag from a local supermarket.

It may not be the most innovative way to use wood veneer - but I really like how the wooden stars complement the stamped stars ;))

Have a fantastic weekend!

Nutty for you...

Just sharing a Paper Smooches card I made this evening at the scrap club! I used a favorite PS stamp set called "Falling for you".  Love this set for fall cards.

Usually I don't bring so much stuff to the club, so I chose to paperpiece the stamped images.
The papers are from an older My Mind's Eye paper pad. The tag used for the center piece, is a die from MFT.

{ All that glitter }

This is actually my 2nd post for today. See the previous one here.

I am participating in the challenge "All That Glitters is Gold Challenge in the Moxie Fab World".

I was very much inspired by this photo here when I created my cards as you can see below.

I took the Hero Arts International skyline wood stamp off the block and mounted in a curve on a stamp press.  On my first card I stamped the skyline with Hero Arts gold shadow ink first - then masked off the stamped piece and embossed the bottom part with some gold Zing embossing powder.

The sentiment is also from Hero Arts. From the Sparkle Birthday set.  Perfect, huh?! ;-)

The other card is reversed - embossing the skyline and coloring in the bottom part with that same golden shadow ink from the first card.  For this one I added some neon ribbon - just for fun!

Some close up on some details on both cards. Which one is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by today for some golden glitter fun!

A GREAT sunday to you all!!

A Hero Arts Scramble Card

Last night after cleaning up my scrap desk, I saw that there was another Hero Arts Scramble at Flickr. I haven't participated in one in a long time - this time it was Laura who challenged us to make a shaped card (see all of them here).

Mine came together really fast - I made a cloud shape tag a while ago so I had the idea of using the same shape for my card.  The background is the new tiny stars background stamp from Hero Arts. I LOVE this - so very cute and so versatile, too.

Two cloud shapes were put together - scoring the backside at the top.

I made the moon by coloring a piece of paper with soft yellow shadow ink and punching the shape with a circle punch. I distressed the edges with butterbar shadow ink.

Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts Howl are you CL675, Hero Arts Tiny Stars background CG616.
Inks: Hero Arts shadow inks (soft yellow, butterbar, orange soda, soft pool & cup o'joe).

A monochromatic moment with Lawnscaping

Lawnscaping has a fun challenge with a monochromatic theme. I am playing along with my new Lawn Fawn Into the Woods set :-)

I used prisma colored pencils for the light coloring and some Hero Arts Cup'O Joe Shadow ink for the stamping.

The Metal, Wood & Cork Challenge at Moxie's

Today I am playing with cork on my card - another card for this week's challenges at Moxie Fab World.

I had the Danish Operation Write Home in mind when I created this card. I think this would make a nice card for someone to send home to a loved one.

The cork element was die cute with a MFT die (set of arrows). The hearts with the SSS Holiday Shapes dies ( small hearts & stars).

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler & Pretty Phrases
Dies: MFT & SSS
Paper: cork, bazzill kraft & cardshoppe.

Today is the last day - sigh! I had so much fun playing along and checking in each day to see new inspirational cards! I plan to play along for the 2 remaining challenges another day  - I was just too busy the last couple of days!

Have a great weekend & thanks for stopping by!

The Stickers & Tape Challenge at Moxie's - Take 2

This is my 2nd post for today (be sure to scroll down to see the previous post). I just had to make a card using tape also! I love washi tape and I admit, I have a lot! And I use it for a lot of things.

This card is also for the Stickers & Tape Challenge and I am using my washi tape on the die cut piece which is made by an MFT grass die cut. I am using the postive and the negative part to create the "spooky" borders ;)

Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts Ghostly Greetings CL628
Dies: MFT Grass die
Other: MT tape, Doodlebug twine, Hero Arts embossing powder
Paper: Hero Arts layering + bazzill.

Isn't that little ghost so cute?

I was so inspired also by Lisa's chalkboard video on the Hero Arts blog as well so I think this would be fitting for this months challenge here.

The Stickers & Tape Challenge at Moxie's

Hey and welcome back!

I am playing along in the fun challenges at Moxie Fab World and today it is about stickers & tape. So much fun and I am in awe of the gorgeous cards shown at the blog today!

I pulled out my sticker sheets and came up with this card here - using some of the sticker numbers from an older Crate Paper Collection.

The stamped sentiment is perfect for all the numbers scattered to the side, 'cause who is counting, Huh? I am not anymore!! Haha!

(Inspiration came from this graphic on Pinterest)

Supplies:
Stamps: Hero Arts CL661 Its your Day + Hero Arts CL611 Many Birthday Messages
Papers: Hero Arts Layering paper + Bazzill
Other: Crate Paper stickers

I am so inspired by the challenges so far and I can't wait to see the next one! It is so rewarding to use up some of those oldies, isn't it!?

Have a good day/evening and thanks for stopping by!

Ready Made Embellishment Challenge at Moxie's

When I checked into the Moxie Fab World blog today and saw the fabulous cards made with ready made embellishment I was so inspired to make a card! YES! This is just the inspiration I have been waiting for - I actually love the ready made embellishments but I seldom use them, so I really have a lot just laying around.

I've used some Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane chipboards and paired them up with the knit background stamp from WPlus9 and made this birthday card for a knitting/crocheting crafty friend!
The colors of the chipboard pieces are repeated in the background stamping.

Background stamping made with the wonderful soft hero arts shadow inks!
Some of the chipboards where raised using foam dots.

Supplies:
Stamps: Knit background builders WPlus9, It's your day Hero Arts CL661
Inks: Hero Arts Soft Yellow, Pool & Wet Cement, Memories Dye ink Black
Embellishments: Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane
Other: May Arts silk ribbon, foam adhesive.
Papers: Hero Arts Layering paper Wet Cement, Bazzil Cardshoppe

Well, I hope you like it - be sure to take a look at the Moxie Fab World blog to see the stunning cards, which inspired me! Maybe you want to play along in the challenge, too? I can't wait to check in tomorrow to see, what's up!

Have fun!

{ birds of a feather }...

... is one of the cute text stamps in the Love This set by Hero Arts & Studio Calico.  I really like all the small stamps in the set. So cute!

I just bought the set today and wanted to make a few cards.

The little stamps in this set complements misting and splatters well, I think. I used some Perfect pearls mist spray and some OA mist sprays...

The circle in the set stamps also a heart and a cloud - but it is easily masked off.

The background stamping was made by mounting several tiny stamps together on one block.

Supplies
Stamps: Hero Arts /Studio Calico 331479
Inks: Hero Arts Shadow inks fresh peach, wet cement, orange soda, memories black dye ink.
Papers: Hero Arts layering paper, Bazzill.
Mists: Ranger & OA.

Have a great weekend!

Autumn Mood

The little squirrel from Lawn Fawns Critters in the Burbs is so cute.

Eventhough the acorns seems a bit of out proportions for the tree I just couldn't help making them fell from the tree and making the squirrel "swing" for them ;)

I love that Lawn Fawn set - one of my faves!

This time of the year I just love canning everything from the garden. Finding new recipes and still making the good old classic. This pumkin is not homegrown - but I had to make a few sweet pickled pumkins with vanilla & ginger. Yum!  - (stamps from MFT)

And today I picked our only 4 pears (!) - yes what a poor harvest this year! But I made 4 little jars with a great new recipe I found - with pear jam with chilis, ginger and vanilla. This is so good ! I can't wait to use this with lovely cheese! Yum!

(stamp from Hero Arts)

Have a great September Sunday!

Hello

A few weeks ago the App Timehop showed me a year old post where I used shrink plastic ;) I really felt like trying that out again - so much fun! So I made a few feathers to use as embellishments on future projects.

One of them I used on this card below. I stamped the background also using one of the feather stamps (again from WPlus9) - I used Hero Arts shadow ink (wet cement) and for the focal point of the card, I used some older My Mind's Eye chipboard letters in one of my favorite colors!

Here is a close up of the shrinked stamped feather :) A few of the chipboards letters were raised for some added interest, using foam adhesive.  For the card base, I used Hero Arts Wet Cement layering paper.

If you don't know the app Timehop - I urge you to take a look - it is so much fun to be reminded of the past - through daily time jumps. The App shows you each day photos taken exactly 1 year ago , 2 years ago, 3 years ago... on that same date! Have fun! :-)

Have a great day/evening!
