Confirmation card

Today we are going to a sweet girl's confirmation. This is the card I made for her. 

I think this image is perfect for a girly card ;)

Spicing up my chalkboard with some stamping - again ;)

I saw this keep calm version on Pinterest and thought it would be so fun to do on my chalkboard.
I had some older big alphabet clear stamps from Hero Arts, which were perfect for this. I'd wish I had a big crown stamp, but instead I used a typewriter stamp for the top part ;))

And keeping to the chalkboard trend...

I made this card a while ago - it was for a challenge at the Moxie blog (using the negative portion of a die cut)- but I was not too happy about it and wanted to take another photo .... so I never posted it...

The cute saying is from "Who is that parisian Girl" from MFT.

The chalkboard paper is from My Minds Eye ( I think) and I just love how the you&me is peeking through the Eiffel Tower.

This makes me wanna go for a nice Spring trip to Paris - wouldn't that be lovely!?

A garden minialbum on a snowy (!) morning

This morning I woke up to this!! Can you believe it? On April 7th! So depressing!

There was nothing else to do than to enter the craft room ;) Hehe!

I've long wanted to make myself a Garden book and so here is my first attempt at a mini album - and my first ever project using the Zutter machine!

I used some Zutter front covers which I cut into size 6" x 8" and did some very simple stamping and embelishment with washi tape, brads and chipbord letters on that front cover.

The brads are from My Minds Eye and I am glad I finally found some use for some of the products I have been hoarding ;))

 

I made the inside pages very simple with some lined papers taken from an old note pad and some inexpensive plastic pockets were cut into smaller pockets to fit almost every second page - for storing seed pockets (to keep the original info & such) ...

On the next page (the lined pages) I am then able to write my notes related to those seeds or plant label, as I go a long. For the first time I am trying to grow my own chili and tomatoes from seeds.

I added some extra kraft pages with pockets (used some cute mini pads for those pockets).  I also added some huge manilla tags and I plan to do a bit of stamping or other decorations (the flat kind) inside,  later on.

Now I will try to use it for the next months, to see how it works and then I can always adjust the layout and order of pages on next years book ;) If you have any tips I'll be happy to hear about it? ;)

And luckily the snow quickly disappeared as the sun came out in the afternoon - but it is still cold and it will be freezing againg tonight! Lets hope for some Spring soon!!

Happy Easter!

I have not be able to stop using that cute bunny stamp this Easter for hostess gifts. Here I stamped on some tissue paper for wrapping a gift and a matching tag. I just heat set the white memories dye ink with my heatgun - before wrapping the gift!

I had to share a few pics from yesterdays wonderful Easter Lunch at my sisters. We had the most amazing lamb ever and wonderful greek sidedishes. Just look at that gorgeous Tsoureki (greek easter bread!) - I can't believe how professional that looks! It was so tasty!

 And the limoncello tiramisu - which has become an Easter tradition, too! Truly mouthwatering!

It was a wonderful day spent with dear family members! Just fantastic!
